Who ever thought that face size would be a thing!

Most of our customers find that our medium adult size fits best, however, some people find the large size is more suited to them, mostly men, it seems. The chap with the floppy hair is our 18-year-old wearing a medium adult sized face mask, in charcoal. (Brave chap that he is he has agreed to let me cut his hair now, once I get a break from sewing face masks…..)

The medium three layer style measures about 15cm from top to bottom, the large one 16cm.

For teenagers we recommend the medium adult size, it’s a little more generously fitted (as you can see it goes higher up the nose) but still creates a snug fit because of the nose wire and adjustable elastic.

The lass wearing the cat print adult face mask is our 14-year old. Our 16-year old certainly needs a medium adult size too.

The child size fits rather well on our nine-year old. In a moment of madness he has tried to cut his own hair (I thought only toddlers did this….) but was still game to have his photo here, bless him…..

Our Four Layer Masks are a little roomier than the three layer models and go a little more under the chin. The medium size can also be ordered with extra nose room. Medium four layer masks measure approx. 16 cm from top to bottom, the large ones approx. 17 cm. The large four layer version has been popular with proud owners of beards, long chins and large noses. Read more about our four layer masks here. All our masks have the overhead elastic as standard. This is much preferred by people wearing glasses or hearing aids. You can also just pull the mask down to have it dangling ’round your neck when not in use. Combined with the nose wire (which stops the glasses from steaming up) the elastic and toggle create a snug fit, whilst still making it easy to breathe. If you don’t like the overhead elastic, simply snip it at the top, remove the toggles and knot the newly created ends to size.
